How this mutual fund estimate works
The estimate applies the average annual return as an equivalent monthly growth rate. It deducts the initial sales charge from each contribution, estimates operating expenses monthly, and applies any deferred sales charge to the final projected balance. Monthly contributions can be added at the start or end of each month.
What is the net annualized return?
The net annualized return is the annualized rate that would connect your dated contributions with the estimated amount received at the end, after the modeled fees. It is an estimate based on evenly spaced monthly contributions and does not predict future results.
What fees are included?
You can enter an initial sales charge, an annual operating expense ratio, and a deferred sales charge at withdrawal. The model does not include account fees, transaction costs, taxes, platform fees, or fund-specific fee waivers. Check the fund prospectus and broker fee schedule.
Can a mutual fund lose money?
Yes. Market values fluctuate, and an investment can be worth less than the total contributions. The result depends on the average return you enter and smooths that return over time; real markets do not grow in a straight line.
Does the currency selector convert my investment?
No. It changes only the currency symbol and formatting. Enter all investment and fee amounts in the same currency.
What is excluded from this projection?
This estimate does not select or recommend a fund, use historical or live market data, model volatility, inflation, dividends paid out in cash, taxes, or changing fee schedules. Actual outcomes may differ substantially.
